Make a Difference — and Receive a Tax Benefit
Giving to Flagler Humane Society not only saves lives but may also offer valuable tax benefits. Recent updates to federal tax law make it easier than ever for donors to receive a charitable deduction, even if they do not itemize their taxes.
Below are a few ways charitable giving may benefit you. As always, we encourage donors to consult a qualified tax professional regarding their individual situation.
New for 2026: Charitable Deduction for Non-Itemizers
Beginning with the 2026 tax year, taxpayers who do not itemize deductions may still be eligible to deduct charitable cash contributions on their federal income taxes.
Under updated IRS guidelines:
Individuals may deduct up to $1,000 in qualifying charitable cash donations
Married couples filing jointly may deduct up to $2,000
This change allows more people to receive a tax benefit for supporting nonprofits like Flagler Humane Society — regardless of whether they itemize deductions.
Tax laws are subject to change. Please consult your tax advisor to determine eligibility.
