Flagler Humane Society offers low-cost spay and neuter services. Ensuring that all animals are spayed and neutered is a main focus of ours, as this is the only real way to reduce the pet overpopulation crisis across the country.

Benefits of Spaying your Pet

  • Prevents uterine infections.
  • Prevents Mammary tumors.
  • Spaying your pet prior to their first heat cycle is recommended.
  • Eliminates the messiness of a heat cycle.

Benefits of Neutering your Pet

  • Prevents prostate problems.
  • Prevents testicular cancer.
  • Prevents certain undesirable sexual behaviors (urine marking, humping, male aggression, & urge to roam).

Flagler County residents who wish to have their pets spay/neutered at a private veterinary practice of their choice may apply to receive a $25 rebate from the County.
