The Flagler Humane Society supports a Greener planet. Green Living is a great way to make some small lifestyle changes that can make a large impact on the Earth. As people are trying to incorporate more and more lifestyle changes in their daily routines, FHS wants to provide a place where you can help to be Green while helping the homeless pets that we take care of. Recycling is a big way to help the environment.
Flagler Humane Society recycles aluminum cans and paper/newspaper within our facility. We have contracted with a recycling company to pick up everything that we recycle. We opened up our recycling efforts to the public as well. We do get some kick backs from the recycling that we have picked up and that money goes right back into helping the animals.
We accept aluminum cans (make sure that the cat food cans are aluminum only!) and paper products (no phone books please). Please help us by removing the cans and paper from any bags before emptying into the receptacles. They will not accept the bags so please help save us from having to climb into the containers.
All proceeds go to benefit the abused, abandoned and homeless animals in our shelter. While dropping off your recyclables come in and meet our adoptable pets!
