"We are all in this together"
“We are all in this together” - A phrase we’ve heard a lot lately. As horrific as the COVID19 pandemic has been, it’s also brought out the best in people. People are helping each other in ways that we couldn’t have imagined months ago. Adopters and foster parents nearly emptied our shelter. Thank you for opening your homes and your hearts.

Animals provide unconditional love – which becomes even more valuable in times like these.

“Ginger” Available for Adoption
Our social media presence is bigger than ever. While you’re self-isolating follow us on Facebook and our website www.flaglerhumanesociety.org. We will keep you entertained! Listen to WNZF Saturday mornings for our popular show, Speaking of Animals and hold onto your hat for our new website coming up and soon….a livestreaming hilarious ”Kitten-Cam!”

We are following government advice with measures in place to protect staff and customers. Our team is here all day, every day providing loving care for the animals sheltered here. We have a plan should we be asked to take in animals belonging to pet parents who are hospitalized. If the unthinkable happens and we become inundated with pets whose owners are sick, we will open up an emergency shelter off site.

We remind everyone to have a plan, should you become ill. (even outside of this crisis) Do you have a friend or family member who would care for your pet(s)? If you have no other alternative, we are here to help.
